Died – at his residence, in the neighborhood of Campbell Chapel, 3 miles northwest of Darlington on Monday afternoon, July 30, 1877 of congestion of the brain, Wm. Irons, Sr aged about 55 years. The remains were interred at Darlington on Tuesday. - kz
